Club Information

SIZE- Consists of a soccer school for ages 5-7, 8 youth teams aged 7-17, one senior team. This covers approximately 150 players, managers and coaching staff, volunteers and families and friends. The Club is therefore one of the largest providers of football in Coventry.
MEMBERSHIP - is drawn from across Coventry and surrounding areas. Subscriptions are kept as low as possible in order that less affluent areas within Coventry are not excluded. Membership is open to all, with the Club promoting equality of opportunity and diversity. The Clubs 3 year Development Plan emphasises the need for further initiatives in including females, the disabled and socially excluded as part of future coaching and playing provision.
MISSION- to encourage and promote the development of grassroots football, with emphasis on youth involvement drawn from the local community. Please refer to the Club Development Plan for further information.
A COMMUNITY CLUB - The Club believes that, as a large provider of football in a structured, safe and fun environment, it addresses several key criteria for the local community – reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in providing an outlet for local youth, engaging all ages in a healthy and recreational past-time, promoting personal development through individuality, teamwork and the socialisation one would associate with a community club culture.
The Club provides a structure for continuous active involvement as one moves through an association with youth, senior and veterans football. The Club is outgoing and making positive links with leisure organisations, community groups, councils and local Schools in order to widen access and participation. The work of GNP SPORTS FC has been recognised by the FA through the award of Charter Standard Club status.
THE FUTURE – in promoting equality and increased opportunity, the Club has expanded over a fairly short time and will continue to grow through continued development of teams and community participation. The costs of our core activities and demands placed on them are escalating, given the continued growth of the Club. In order to continue to provide a service to the local community, the Club needs to secure further grants and sponsorship to supplement club subscriptions and ensure that playing and non-playing objectives are attained. For further information please contact, Club Secretary.
